2016 is a big year for Chestertons Malta and they are proud to announce that their real estate agents have been getting some of the best training in the industry to assist in buying, selling and renting property in Malta.
The training does not only consist of information about the current real estate market and location in the Maltese Islands, but also on more overseen subjects such as communication, finance, social media, customer care, money laundering and photography. Being an all-rounded negotiator with multiple skills is very important in this day and age to be able to help all our clients in the best way possible and survive in the fast-paced environment.
When it comes to real estate photography, any agent is able to take a photograph with their mobile phone, however, learning how to make it an attractive image that represents the property in the best way possible, may be more difficult and that is where our training comes in. Just as local professional photographer, Mr. Dave Esmonde-White, said, "Even if photos are being taken by a mobile phone, there are still some basic techniques to keep in mind, such as composition, light and preparation of a property. Little things matter.”
A wide range of personalities enter the real estate sector in Malta from individuals with previous real estate experience, to recent graduates from secondary and tertiary-level education new to the thriving business. While experienced agents excel at the financial and law-induced side of property, the younger generation usually prove well at soft skills when it comes to communicating in a friendly and persuasive manner with their prospective clients. It doesn’t matter where you came from, all that matters is where you’re going and training for real estate is a key component in becoming a successful agent in this day and age.
